Nor do we say our lover is a metaphor, You dummy
27.08.2026Exhibition opening 27th August / 18:00 ARV.I Studio in Vishovgrad
Welcome to the exhibition, titled Nor do we say our lover is a metaphor, You dummy, by Louise Hammer. The exhibition is a conclusion of her artist residency ARV.I in Vishovgrad.
Louise Hammer is investigating the relationship between objects and the responses they generate.
An object can remain structurally unchanged while the space around it changes. Its meaning, function, and perceived value can shift according to the person, situation, and response.
This is where the architecture of things begins: in the relationship between an object and the responses it produces. Structure influences behavior. Behavior produces fiction, and fiction can begin to shape the space in which we understand something as real. What happens in the space between giving and receiving, absence and presence? What charge is generated there, and how does it build? - Sandra Zanetti
